A DIALOGUE BETWEEN HERITAGE AND DISCOVERY

The science of considered care.

From botanical extraction to advanced carriers, our technology perspective centres on one question: what meaningful contribution can a method make to the finished formulation?

01

Nanotechnology

Formulation at a finer scale

Liposomal and other nanoscale carrier systems can help disperse selected ingredients and protect sensitive actives. Their value lies in a more considered formulation—not an automatic promise of deeper penetration or stronger results.

Potential contribution: ingredient protection, dispersion, and elegant texture.

02

Plant stem cell technology

Cultivated botanical intelligence

Plant cell cultures provide a controlled route to botanical extracts and selected metabolites. In cosmetics, it is the extract that matters; plant stem cells do not become human skin cells. This approach can support consistency while reducing reliance on repeated wild harvesting.

Potential contribution: reproducible botanical ingredients and antioxidant-focused formulation.

03

Plasma technology

A new perspective on extraction

Plasma-assisted botanical processing is being explored to alter plant surfaces and influence the recovery of phytochemicals. Carefully selected processing conditions matter: excessive treatment can also degrade valuable compounds.

Potential contribution: optimisation of botanical extraction, subject to analytical verification.

04

Exosome-inspired technology

Inspired by biological communication

Exosomes are naturally occurring extracellular vesicles involved in cell-to-cell communication. Their biology inspires research into sophisticated delivery systems. Exosome-inspired cosmetic carriers are distinct from verified biological exosomes, and rejuvenation claims require specific evidence.

Research focus: carrier design and ingredient delivery; no cell-regeneration promise.

05

PDRN

A developing chapter in skin science

Polydeoxyribonucleotide is a DNA-derived material studied in tissue-repair research. Medical and injectable findings cannot be assumed to apply to a cosmetic cream or serum. Source, molecular characteristics, topical delivery, and finished-formula testing determine its relevance.

Research focus: evidence-led exploration of topical cosmetic applications.

06

Enzymatic technology

Precision through gentle transformation

Selected enzymes can assist the breakdown of plant cell-wall components or transform botanical materials under controlled conditions. This can improve the recovery of selected compounds and create ingredients with a different composition or sensory profile.

Potential contribution: selective extraction and purposeful botanical processing.

07

EmolliHydra

The meeting of softness and hydration

EmolliHydra is our proposed formulation philosophy for pairing water-binding humectants with skin-softening emollients and suitable moisture-retaining components. The aim is supple-feeling skin, comfortable hydration, and a refined finish.

Formulation goal: softness, hydration, and a comfortable skin feel.

08

Microbiome technology

Care for the skin ecosystem

The skin hosts a diverse microbial community. Microbiome-conscious formulation considers cleansing intensity, pH, and ingredient compatibility. Carefully chosen ferment-derived ingredients or postbiotics may support this approach; a balanced microbiome must be demonstrated rather than presumed.

Formulation goal: gentle cleansing, skin comfort, and barrier-conscious care.

09

Peptide technology

Small sequences. Considered performance.

Peptides are short chains of amino acids whose properties depend on their precise sequence. In contemporary cosmetic science, selected signal peptides and copper-binding peptides are explored for their contribution to skin-conditioning formulations and the appearance of ageing skin.

Human studies of certain topical peptides, including palmitoyl pentapeptide-4, have reported improvements in visible fine lines and wrinkles in the formulations tested. Potential benefits include smoother-looking skin and a more refined appearance; results cannot be generalised to every peptide or product.

Our approach considers peptide identity, concentration, stability, and compatibility with the complete formula. Any skin or hair benefit is assessed for the specific ingredient and intended use.

Potential contribution: skin conditioning and visible refinement, where supported by appropriate evidence.

Ceramides & barrier lipids

Moisture support starts at the barrier

Ceramides are lipids naturally present between cells in the outer skin layer. Together with cholesterol and fatty acids, they help form the barrier that limits moisture loss. Cosmetic ceramides such as Ceramide NP contribute to skin-conditioning and moisture-supporting formulas.

Human studies of specific ceramide-containing moisturisers have reported better hydration and barrier measurements. These results relate to the complete formulations tested; they do not establish identical results for every ceramide product.

Potential contribution: comfortable hydration and softer-feeling dry skin, depending on the complete formula.
